It was our ninth planet once, a long ago when we little knew about what a planet even was. We still have debates, but one thing we can agree now is that Pluto is a dwarf planet, located in the Kuiper Belt, the other region of our neighborhood.
With an average temperature of -232°C (-387°F), Pluto is not just an ordinary world. It has its own quirks, like having a both elliptical and tilted orbit, spinning from east to west like Venus and Uranus, having its axis of rotation tilted 57 degrees.
It also has a companion, Charon, its biggest moon that never leaves Pluto's side, so much so that they are called a double planet.
There are a lot of interesting features like mountains and valleys on Pluto, so take a look!
The most striking view on Pluto is the one you can see as you approach it, a heart-shaped region that is full of nitrogen and carbon dioxide ice.
Explore the mountains (that are likely to be 1-1.5 kilometers high) and plains that live inside Pluto's heart.
Just towards the south of Cthulhu Regio, explore this darkly alluring area filled with mountains that have methane snow caps.
An interesting sight reminiscent of a giant spider, these fractures are something to see.
Go towards north of the Sputnik Planum, and enjoy skating on a frozen liquid nitrogen lake.
Go northwest of the Sputnik Planum, and visit the Chaos Region terrain that looks indeed a bit chaotic.
Spend some time discovering the cratered plains towards the east of Cthulhu Regio, and don't let it scare you.
Pluto's quirkiness is in abundance. The Tartarus Dorsa mountains are another must-see on your Pluto trip.
In the north polar area, visit the frozen canyons of Pluto, another beautiful sight.
Pluto has a lot of icy mountains and frozen plains that are perfect for winter activities, so get ready for the coolest adventure of a lifetime.
